I was in YPSL back in school and rooted Che and Fidel into Havana one January long ago. The only reason Communism has failed with Americans is probably that we are not sharers and carers by nature. We are acquirers, who worship at the altar of competition and a hierarchy of wealth. Won’t we all be surprised when we arrive in either Heaven or Hell to find we are ALL #comrades there?
“If Dante could imagine it, why couldn’t it be true.”
Terry A Travers I liked Obama’s RELATIVES better. If Joseph P. Kennedy had his way and Hitler was less of a moron, we’d have been in bed with the Nazis. Change just a handful of History’s details and we’d have fought alongside the Kaiser in WWI. If German heads had controlled their hearts the entire 20th century would have been unrecognizable to us today. But JFK wasn’t his father and he meant well even though he would have blown us all to bits to preserve his own reputation.
Terry A Travers Picture Germany that embraced its Jews and Hitler having respect for others’ opinions. Americans were already gravitating toward sympathy for the Germans after Versailles. Germany LOST in its desire to dominate the World because of its own stupid mistakes. …History’s ironies…
Terry A Travers Well, my father told me long ago to believe NOTHING that I hear (That should cover ALL the sources you guys are talking about) and only HALF of what I see. That has worked for me since Roosevelt (the second one) was President. Meantime, I look at it all as entertainment. Nothing I’d bet my life on. Nothing I’d share to anyone with a guarantee. Pilate asked “What is truth?” and the answer has yet to be found. So love your friends and family, treat everyone with the same civility you appreciate from them and enjoy every minute before the God damned Apocalypse!!
Remember when Judge Reinhold was training the new worker at the “Captain Hook Fish and Chips” in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He told him this, and it’s excellent advice for us all.
“Learn it! Love it! Live it!”
But I’m near the end
and I just ain’t got the time…
and I’m wasted
and I can’t find my way home.
